A glaring white marble bar in the front area and puffy suede banquettes in the back room strive for contemporary elegance, but end up evoking a prefab beach house. Models, model wannabes and model admirers slouch on the low seating and eye one another glacially.
The main thing this bar has going for it--aside from part ownership by the usually on-point producer Timbaland--is a cabaret license, which means you can dance in the back room. Nightly DJs play a variety of tracks designed to get the crowd moving, from hip-hop to '80s tunes to house. So get a buzz at the not-too-pricey full bar, get on the dance floor and give the clientele something interesting to look at.
