Flow's vibe is what you might expect from its moneyed neighborhood. The straight, posing patrons might not be models, but they're clearly scouring for them. Expect to see cigar-smokin' fellas in suits chatting up well-groomed women wearing unnaturally deep tans. Friday is the bar's liveliest night, when the respectable sound system offers house music upstairs and hip-hop downstairs.
Paying a $20 cover and tolerating a pretentious door attitude still won't buy your tushy a place to sit down (unless you indulge in bottle service, which starts at $150 for Moet). Upstairs, a white Mondrian-esque light sculpture breaks up an otherwise unremarkable decor, although the ever-changing colored column of water supplies an interesting Caesar's Palace-like touch. The upside: Flow's extremely attractive (female) waitstaff may serve you the strongest, smoothest Long Island Iced Tea you've ever wet your kisser on. |
