A young, professional crowd and understated decor inject non-touristy flavor into Times Square\'s nightlife scene.
Despite glamorously tall ceilings, the only fashionable thing about this midtown bar is the interesting light fixtures--several metal, diamond-shaped mini chandeliers hang over the foyer, and tiny orange lightbulbs spruce up the interior lounge ceilings. The upstairs lounge offers comfortable environs to get your drink on, outfitted with beige chaises, simple rectangular mirrors and cozy couch nooks.
Typical of other midtown bars, the crowd is mostly young professionals in their mid-20s and mid-30s attempting to drink away their work week to a mix of hip-hop, Top 40 and R&B. Like everything else in the Times Square district, the drinks aren\'t cheap. A specialty cocktail menu offers sweet, fruity drinks above the $10 mark. Try the F40, an elixir of lychee puree and champagne, or the unusual Coco Pom, made with coconut rum, pomegranate juice and Cointreau, heavily sprinkled with dried coconut. |
