No, it's not Ben Affleck's new nickname. Opened by Rob Vinokur, the man behind Chaos and Miami's Tantra, B'lo is actually beneath Chelsea's Q pool hall. Down your choice of industrial elevator or winding staircase, the iCrave-designed 5,000-square-foot space is all lounge, lighting and love. Friendly dancing waitresses are quick to oblige, ample seating means everyone's got a spot and the VIP room features two low, bed-sized banquettes. Even the bathroom's a party; men and women join one line, then are sent to separate stalls by cheerful attendants.
From the suit-and-tie brigade to those rockin' the "As Seen on MTV" look, everyone's busting a move by midnight, usually on the tables and seats. DJs spin near the crowd to better gauge the vibe, and will drop everything from '80s pop to hip-hop and techno. |
